Orzsag used his time at the Economic Club to focus on the link between the budget deficit and the cost of health care in the United States. He maintained that the health care legislation proposed by the Obama Administration would provide the basis for lowering health care costs and that, subsequently, would contribute substantially to reducing the deficit.
