Mortimer B. Zuckerman was the special guest at the February meeting of the Economic Club of Washington. Mr. Zuckerman is Chairman and CEO of Boston Properties, one of the largest real estate investment trusts in the United States. He also is the Publisher of the New York Daily News and Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of U.S. News & World Report. In a wide-ranging discussion with Club President David M. Rubenstein, Mr. Zuckerman touched on such issues as possible solutions to the sluggishness of the U.S. economy; the state of the commercial real estate market; the future of the news and information industry, and his views about the potential for peace between Israel and Palestine.
