Chairman, President and CEO, IBM | December 03, 2014
Predicted that “big data is going to end up being – I call it a natural resource. It'll be the basis of competition,” changing the way all businesses operate.

Ginni Rometty, Chairman, President and CEO of IBM, joined President David M. Rubenstein for a discussion about the new IBM and the direction in which the company is now moving on December 3. Ms. Rometty told Economic Club members, “As the year closes and we go into next year, hardware will be less than 10 percent of the IBM company. It's symbolic of what is IBM's hallmark, which is about continuously reinventing itself to what is the next most higher-value thing.”
