Rex W. Tillerson

Chairman and CEO, Exxon Mobil Corporation | March 12, 2015
Tillerson presented ideas for further strengthening North America’s leadership in energy.

Rex W. Tillerson, Chairman and CEO of Exxon Mobil Corporation, engaged in a conversation with President Rubenstein at a dinner meeting in March 2015 during which he urged the Obama Administration to lift the ban on oil exports from America. “With free trade in energy and common-sense regulatory reforms,” he said “the U.S. energy industry can strengthen U.S. energy security and continue to pioneer the innovations that make possible the safe and responsible development of energy.” He added, “By allowing nations and peoples to work together, we can invest in integrated solutions that expand energy supplies, increase efficiency and reduce emissions. Time and time again, our industry has proven that innovation and cooperation unleash human ingenuity and bring far-reaching technological advances that can transform the economy, protect the environment, and increase energy security."
