Michael Dell shared how taking Dell private has provided more freedom and flexibility to invest in their business.

Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO of Dell, was the featured guest at a breakfast meeting on March 4. Mr. Dell engaged in a discussion with Economic Club President David M. Rubenstein that covered such subjects as his experience of dropping out of college and starting his company at the age of 19. He also shared his insights about the impact technology and innovation have on the global economy and described the work of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. Mr. Dell said that the foundation, which focuses its philanthropic effort on such issues as children’s health, medical research, urban education, and poverty, has given away more than a billion dollars.
