He assumed the role of CEO and was elected Chair of the Board of Directors in 2017. Ricks joined Lilly as a business development associate and progressed through various management roles in U.S. marketing and sales before taking on international leadership positions. Under Ricks' leadership, Lilly has achieved record research and development output and business results, positioning the company for robust growth and a broader impact on global health.
