As the Indiana Fever prepares to play the Washington Mystics, The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce that Allison Barber, Ph.D., President and COO of the Indiana Fever, Indiana’s WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) franchise, will be interviewed by Club Board Officer, Lawrence Di Rita, President, Greater Washington, D.C., Bank of America. The in-person breakfast will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
With a career that spans from a schoolhouse to the White House and now to the Fieldhouse, Dr. Allison Barber has a successful record of building brands and maximizing impact. From a grade school teacher in Indiana to communications strategist in the White House and U.S. Department of Defense, Allison has dedicated herself to creating pathways to help individuals reach their potential. The Indiana Fever, led by Dr. Barber, competes at the highest level of women's professional basketball in the United States. Recently, the Fever made headlines by selecting Caitlin Clark, the standout guard from Iowa, as the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
