Nominate a New Member
The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. membership is limited in number and includes CEOs of local corporations, managing partners in leading law and accounting firms, executives of top consulting, technology, and research organizations, and national heads of associations and other entities in healthcare, insurance, culture and education and other businesses and professions. Members convene at least five times a year for luncheon, dinner, or breakfast events at the city’s leading hotels to which they can bring a limited number of guests for a reasonable fee. The Economic Club is a 501(c)(3) organization and for tax purposes, dues are considered a charitable contribution.
The application procedure for membership in the Club requires that candidates be nominated and seconded by two current Club members who may not be from the same firm. To complete this application, the candidate’s biography and a letter of recommendation must be submitted by the nominating Club member. When making recommendations, the Membership Committee shall take into consideration the candidate’s business and professional achievements, governmental and diplomatic service, and community involvement. Additionally, membership is limited and consideration is provided to only the most senior leaders representing a broad spectrum of industry and business across the metropolitan area and beyond. The Membership Committee meets regularly to consider member nominations. Membership in the Economic Club of Washington requires an annual dues payment.
To propose an individual for membership, a current member of the Economic Club of Washington may contact Danielle Waldman at membership@economicclub.org to request the current qualifications for membership and a nomination form. The nomination form must be filled out by two current members (both members may not be from the same firm).
